Yes, Barbie is exactly right. It is worse when you lie down soon after eating. Acid comes up from the stomach and really burns and tastes awful.

First of all there is no such thing as “acid reflux disease”, thats what the F.D.A calls it so you have to take a little purple pill the rest of your life,acid reflux disease is another word for money to those people,It sound like all you have is just like you said HEARTBURN ,what you need to do is take a spoonful of vinegar once a day for about two or three days and the pain will stop,it may burn going down,but once it hits your stomach you will feel the fire go out believe me I have the same problem well I did,not anymore because thats what I do and now I don’t get heartburn anymore

Well, that’s some of the signs…also loosing your voice for no apparent reason. Heartburn at the base of your throat or when you lay down. Talk to your doctor or go to an ENT. The ENT doctor can put a small scope up your nose and down your throat and can see any damage and it really isn’t painful at all…they can do it right in their office. Good luck & I hope you feel better….Reflux can really be a pain!!
